You could add veggies, i always add a little tabasco sauce in mine!
put studed tomatoes in it
that would be like trying to spice up spam
i always add sliced barbecur pork, cabbage, sweet corn, spicy bamboo shoots, black pepper
I think it's pretty boring all around. . .best bet would be to add some veggies.
i add the same amount of water

let it come to a boil

Add 2 tps. of butter into the water

Add your noodles

then i add some italian seasoning, which consists of, bay leaves, rosemary, and basil.

another way i like to cook them is...

let the water boil

do not add butter

instead add a packet of brown gravy (or any other kind of gravy you like)

once the gravy is well mixed in add your noodles.

another way is...

let the water boil

have like (say the noodles are chicken flavor) a bag of frozen cooked chicken and add the chicken in (let the chicken out in room temperture. say like make sure you can stick a fork in it. or just pop it in the microwave)

add the noodles. And the italian seasoning (optional) and there you have it. Real chicken noodles.

you can do the above recipe with beef as well.

i hope you enjoy these ways to cook the noodles. I have experimented with the noodles and these are my top 3.
Put a bunch of seasonings in it. Like, Garlic powder, garlic salt, chili powder, and all that you can think of. Yes, sadly it does get boring. Hope I helped.
