We had stew meat, potatoes, mixed vegetables of any type that you choose to put in it. cooking until all are done you can also add stewed tomatoes or whole or crushed tomatoe.Then add the large can of V-8 and allow it to cook on low heat for about 30 minutes.When I was a kid we used to have a delicious vegetable beef soup using V-8 juice. Any recipes for me?

Ingredients


1 lb. ground chuck or 1 lb. ground turkey


1 medium onion, chopped


2 ribs celery, chopped


1 package frozen mixed vegetables


1 large can V-8 juice


1/2 to 1 cup shredded cabbage


2 tsp. beef bouillon


Directions


Brown ground meat and onion in large kettle. Spoon off and discard any fat. Add remaining ingredients and stir to blend. Bring to boiling point, then cover and reduce heat so mixture can simmer until veggies are tender and flavors blend. Freezes well. Can also be made in crock pot after meat is browned.

lb. beef for soup/stew (in meat dept. this is already in chunks and labels for using in soup/stew





1 large can V-8 vegetable juce (we like it better than tomato juice)


1 can beef broth or 1 cup Wylers boulion prepared as directed


4 med. potatoes peeled %26amp; cut into chunks


2 - 3 carrots thinly sliced


1/4 cup onion diced


2 cans of vegetables of your choice, drained (corn,green peas, green beans,...or use leftover vegetables as well)


1 cup elbow maccaroni


1 teas. salt


1/4 teas. worchestershire sauce


dash of garlic powder





Cook beef in small amount of water until done. ( I cut mine into smaller pieces) Use water when combining ingredients but not more than 1 cup. Cook potatoes, carrots, and onion in water until almost tender. Drain.





Combine all ingredients except maccaroni in large dutch oven or crock pot. Cook maccaroni according to package directions. (This can be done the night before %26amp; store in tupperware covered with water in refrigerator)





Cook soup on low in crock pot 3-4 hrs allowing flavors to blend well and add noodles %26amp; serve.

Mix all of these im a crockpot, and cook on low 8 hrs--


Beef stew meat, one can of V8 juice, 1 envelope of onion soup mix, several carrots, peeled and cut in chunks, and several potatoes, peeled and chunked.





Just before serving, thicken witrh flour and water, and add a can of peas (drained) if you like.

Vegetable Beef Soup





1 lb Ground chuck


1 Yellow onion medium diced


2 c Water


1 cn Carrots


1 cn Peas


1 lg can V-8 juice


1 cn Tomato wedges with juice


1 Bag frozen mixed vegetables;


3 Potatoes; up to 5, cubed


2 Bay leaves





Brown meat with onion, salt and pepper to taste. After the meat is browned,


add other ingredients bring to boil for 30 minutes. Turn down and cook on


low for 1 1/2 hours. Simmer for 30 minutes.
